Minimalist sensor-only Automotive app

On my Volvo XC40 Recharge, the Automotive app has always been unreliable (seems like I have to re-enable the app a few times a week) and extremely sluggish. The experience with CarPlay, however is fine, using the Automotive app for live data.

Perhaps an easier to maintain and more performant approach would be a ‘sensor-only’ app, that is a live data source for the better experiences of AA or CarPlay.
