Megane map in Automotive only updates every 30s

Since updating to a recent version of the app, the ABRP map in the car using Android Automotive only refreshes exactly every 30 seconds - it doesn’t smoothly move along as you drive, as it did before.

Car = Renault Megane ETech 60kW

App version = 6.0.3 (in car and on my phone)

I have tried logging out of my account, and also reinstalling the app in the car, but there is no change.

I am completely guessing - but I wonder if this is somehow related to a very recent change to the app where it was not detecting the battery size in the car?

Where does this happen?

    Hey, we recently fixed issues related to GPS and will release a new version soon.

      Thanks - this appears to be working properly again in 6.1.1 (and app is showing correct state of charge percentage too). Happy to close.

    Thanks for reporting! Can you please send us a “bug report“ from the app (at the bottom of the settings menu)? it will be easier for us to get what’s happening.

    We are experimenting with the new AA implementation in the Beta version so some things might not work yet as expected, if you’d like a more stable experience you can always leave Beta for now.

      No problem - have just logged a bug report (and noted that leaving the beta is an option)

      One other thing I've just spotted - it seems that the AA app has lost its view of the car battery status again. This was working recently, but now seems to be fixed at 90% for a few days while the actual SoC has been falling gradually to 50%.
