Marvel R Luxury (2021) — OBD SoC reads 3-4% lower than dashboard

Hi all,

Car: MG Marvel R Luxury, 2021. Dongle: Maclean Energy MCE200 (ELM327-based). App: ABRP.

The SoC reported over OBD is consistently ~3-4% lower than the car's display. Everything else reads fine.

I've seen similar reports on MG5 and MG4 threads (usually 6-8 points), explained by two SoC values on the bus — raw vs usable. But in my case the OBD figure is the lower one, which is the opposite of what that would predict.

Questions for anyone who's checked this on the Marvel R:

  • Is the gap linear across the range, or does it shift at different levels?

  • What's the correct PID for the "display" SoC on this car?

  • Does setting ELM327 ATST to FF help?

Not a problem in daily use — ABRP just plans pessimistically — but I'd like to know if it's expected or a wrong PID in the profile.

Thanks!
