Map zooms out whenever I switch tabs

Whenever I have the map zoomed in on ABRP and I switch to a different tab on Google Chrome browser, the map resets to a zoomed out view when I switch back to the ABRP tab. I would expect the map to not change its zoom orientation at all, as it is a hassle to continue zooming in to my preferred view each time I switch back to the tab (which is surprisingly often!).
