Map freezes every 2 seconds on Android Auto

All of a sudden Android Auto map pauses every 2 seconds when driving. It's really annoying. Does not do it on Waze Google or TomTom. So it's not a GPS thing. I tried downgrading same issue. On the latest beta 7.02. So basically the triangle is moving and in 2 seconds it completely stops and then one second after that jumps to the new position and keeps going.

Where does this happen?

Thank you for reporting! Can you check if you have the “reduced animation“ set on your phone settings?

Just to let you know, it's also doing it on the phone away from Android Auto. How do I find that setting? Is it in developer settings? I did a search in settings and could not find it. I have an S25 Ultra.

  Methods to Reduce Android Animations:
  Via Accessibility Settings (Easiest):
  Stock Android/Pixels: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Toggle on Remove animations.
  Samsung Galaxy: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Visibility enhancements > Toggle on Remove animations.
  Via Developer Options (More Customization):
  Enable Developer Mode: Go to Settings > About Phone > Tap "Build number" 7 times.

  That made it worse. It made it so bad that the screen was mostly frozen and would unfreeze every other second

  The question rather was, if it was enabled. Because that would end up in such a behaviour, that all animations are not working. In Settings → Display & Appearance at the bottom there is a toggle to enable a diagnostics button on the map. It is a button with a bug icon on it. When it happens again please press that button and let us know so we can check the details. Also works on Android Auto. There it is shown at top of settings.
