Map doesn't switch to night mode

ABRP 6.0.2 via Android Auto on main screen.

Google Pixel 8 Pro Android 16

Skoda Enyaq v3.7

I have connected an iCar Pro OBD2 BLE dongle, which works fine (if that matters).

Although set to “Adopt display” in the App, the map doesn’t switch to night mode in the head unit. Always “day mode” with bright colors.

Also, when trying to switch manually to night mode on the head unit via settings, the options show up, but are not clickable. I can only use the “go back” arrow to go to general settings.

The app on the phone does switch to night mode, though (which I have open to read additional data and to see if the BLE connect does work fine).

Where does this happen?

    Thanks for reporting! As far as we know, the dark mode signalling from Skoda does not work as it should with Android Auto. The only solution then would be for you to enable our “Automatic day/night” mode in ABRP Android Auto settings.

      Thanks for the advice. Needed to wait for the night to check.

      Indeed choosing “Automatic day/night” did change the color schema to “dark mode”. But I had to choose it twice to take effect. First time, it didn’t change.

      Anyway, for the moment this helps.

      Don’t know so far if it would change correctly when driving from day to night or vice versa.

      Also, had to delete my car from the settings, as it with a sudden stopped syncing with my OBDBLE adapter. Now all works as expected (except signalling dark mode from the car).

      Let’s see if 3.8 changes something when it gets delivered by Skoda (at least it is announced).

      Does google maps use a different mechanism as that seems to work OK. Also, the Android Auto theme options dont even appear to be selectable.
