Alternatively could indicate savings by slowing down.

This is very useful in Norway where we have a lot of ferries along the coast. Most have a fixed schedule unless its vacation season and they go as soon as they fill up.
At night many of them, if running, operate with a single ferry departing maybe every hour. That is a long time to sit idle at the ferry queue.
