The attached plan is a 48 minute drive plus a 31 minute ferry crossing. At a 40% departure SoC the trip requires a 7 minute charge, but the routing goes well out of the way to a charger, adding considerable time to the route. When I planned it the trip became 2 hours and 2 minutes. In the process the route bypassed an EA charger near the starting point (with EVgo & Tesla set as the preferred charging networks).

This suggests to me that it would be good to have a way to balance the network preference weights against overall trip time. One idea would be to do the initial routing without any of the routing preferences (charging networks & avoid on route are the ones I can think of) in play and to include that result as one of the options offered. Then prune the route options based on the routing preferences.
