In Australia, many VW group vehicles use the “Connected Card” service (

https://www.wirelesscar.com) in lieu of an inbuilt modem. Is there any possibility of ABRP using this existing data stream instead of users having to add an OBD device?

    My reason for asking is that the OBD dongle sets off the car alarm when left plugged in, if ABRP connects. Annoying, inconvenient.

    If I have to continually unplug the OBD dongle every time I’m out of the car, I might as well go back to using PlugShare, and guesstimating range etc to plan charging stops that way.
