Increasing vehicle range makes planner choose longer slower route unnecessarily

I'm adjusting my vehicle stats based on a recent journey I took. I noticed when attempting to tweak my vehicles range, for some reason when I give it a minor increase, the journey planner attempts to take a route which is both longer and slower than the originally suggested route. This looks to happen with alternative routing either enabled or disabled.

Screenshots show same journey plan with a minor change for km/kWh. The longer/slower journey is given with higher range.

EDIT: If I increase the vehicle range further, the journey plans correctly to the shorter/faster route again.
