Incorrect road name/numbers displayed during live journey.
Last week displayed that I was on the M5 whilst driving on the M6 near Lancaster.

Yesterday signposted M1 whilst navigating further east on the M25.

Actually , I have just checked my route on Google maps , and the A322 was the first A road I turned on to after departure. I was on it for about 5 miles…over 100 miles and numerous different roads before this photo was taken

Hi ,
The plan was a “mylocation “ to home one so it wasnt saved. I have recreated the journey showing the start location and end location , and the planned route.
Here is the link

My colleagues will look at this and fix it.

Hey, that road ref is from the road signs at the location of the instructions and not your current road ref. So it means you have to get onto M5 (or at least into the direction of the sign that contains the M5 ref). We will try to improve that, so it is more clear.

Having driven up the M5 and onto the M6 and heading north away from the M5 , M5 would not be a sign I would need to look for either for the rest of the journey

And the next turn was A589 direction Lancaster for my charging stop.

Thats a different thing then related to mapping. Can you provide a short route, that contains a few hundred meters before and after the instruction only so we can check on openstreetmap, if there is anything to improve? You can also check it yourself if you want, and correct map issues yourself. Openstreetmap can be modified by everyone. We pull updates every two weeks, so after that you should see improvements made on OSM.

I have experienced the same problem. It seems like the road name for upcoming junctions get stuck on a previous road. In my case, I’ll leave the M5 onto the A303 eastbound, and all directions from then on still say M5.
I have found that if I re-calculate the map then directions correct themselves for a while. Aso happens when stopping for charging and resuming a journey (which would cause CarPlay to disconnect and reconnect)
