Incorrect Addresses in Halifax Nova Scotia Area

Bug Reports

  • When searching addresses in communities that make up Halifax Regional Municipality they all return with Halifax as the city in the address. Even for communities that are over 100 km away from downtown Halifax.

  • This is particularly problematic when searching hands free for chain locations (like Canadian Tire or A&W) while driving. This makes all options say Halifax when you may be looking for the business location in Cole Harbour or Tantallon.

  • Addresses in communities that are NOT Halifax should Not have Halifax as their city in their address and should use Canada Posts identified address that have the proper community naming.

  • Try doing a voice search for “Canadian Tire Cole Harbour” or “Walmart Dartmouth Crossing” while using CarPlay - the system cannot return a result due to this MAJOR address error.

    Hello @ABRP User #48051,

Could you share an example of a places ending with Halifax that are over 100 km away from downtown Halifax? This is so we can compare to those close to Halifax.
