I finally got myself a VEEPEAK dongle, and so this past week was the first time I got to really use ABRP with my 2023 Ioniq 5 SE RWD. On the way from Maryland to Chichester, NY, I was extremely impressed. It was within 2%, which made charging extremely easy. I noticed that there were two versions of the car in my account, and the second one showed the Bluetooth icon. Since this was the first time I had a membership, this was the first time I had really interacted with the CarPlay interface. On the way up, it had the battery icon.
When the car got below 20%, it was extremely off. My car would say 15% and the Bluetooth would be sending 25% or something like that. It also never told me to charge somewhere else, and sometimes if I had listened to the directions, I wouldn’t have made it. In trying to figure out what the symbols mean and why there were two cars, it seems that one of them was using live data and the other one was not. The accurate one was the one without live data. I’m not sure what’s going on here, but something is definitely wrong. What can I do?
I did see somebody else posting that they were having issues with their data all of a sudden being way off in the Ioniq Guy group on Facebook. I pre-ordered a device that will allow me to manually initiate battery recharging, so I am really looking forward to traveling with this app in the future, especially in the winter, so I really want to figure out how to give it accurate data.
