I'm consistently getting the error message, "his plan is no longer viable"

I spend a lot of time setting up a route from one city to another, with preferred chargers. When I select it from saved plans and hit Plan, it looks right. If I try Drive, I get the

"this plan is no longer viable” message. It may be because I'm not at the start point when I try it, I'm not sure.
