Illegal U-turn on Mercatorstraße in Duisburg despite no-U-turn restriction

ABRP plans an illegal U-turn on Mercatorstraße in Duisburg, Germany, at the intersection near Friedrich-Wilhelm-Straße / Ankerbrunnen.

At this location, traffic is required to continue straight ahead and U-turns are explicitly prohibited by traffic signs.

Nevertheless, ABRP routes the vehicle southbound on Mercatorstraße and then instructs it to make a U-turn at this intersection in order to continue northbound again.

This manoeuvre is not legally permitted and ABRP should calculate an alternative legal route.

I have attached:

• a screenshot showing the incorrect ABRP route

• a Google Street View image showing the traffic signs at the intersection

I also pressed the ABRP bug-report button while the affected route was displayed on 14 August 2026 at approximately 12:59 CEST.
