Thanks for reporting. It seems like this is a bug in the Android Auto framework (not ABRP) which we cannot affect, unfortunately.

Cleared android auto cache then the icons are readable. But on the next ride they are back to black.

Today another test. Clearing cache is not enough need to clear data for android auto to get the white symbols in the dark buttons back visible. Otherwise the symbals are black in a dark button.
