Hangs on "Login remote app"

Logged into ABRP on phone (Google Pixel 8, Android 16 beta). Open ABRP on OC, get to “Login with ABRP app” Qr code. Follow instructions, open ABRP on phone, select Login with remote app. Dialog comes up, camera open, but it never scans the QR. Close ABRP mobile, restart phone, try again - now the camera doesn't come up at all, just the spinner.

Where does this happen?
ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)

    Have you made sure to give the ABRP app the necessary permissions in Android settings? Such as camera access?
