German voice guidance commands are read in english
I’m using ABRP in Android Auto. My smartphone is configured to use german language.
Using ABRP 5.0, the navigation instructions where properly read in german.
Using ABRP 5.5, I get german texts read by an english TTS engine, which results in nearly ununderstandable navigation commands.
I checked the Android Speech settings and selected another (german) voice. This helped for some hours, but after some trips ABRP switched back to the english TTS engine.

Hi again @Elmar Billen,
We observed this in version 5.5.0, but we’ve already made changes that were released in version 5.5.1.
At the moment, we’re not able to reproduce it in 5.5.1, but let us know if it occurs again in this version.

Maybe observing the problems and the update from 5.5 to 5.5.1 overlapped.
I don’t see the problems any more with the latest release.
Just close this ticket, I will reopen a new one once I see the problem again.

Does this apply to all the spoken content in 5.5 or just some strings?

Hi,
this applies to all spoken content, except numbers (they are spoken in english).
So I get instructions like “In three hundred meters rechts abbiegen”, spoken in a hard english accent…
This does not happen all the time, it seems to change from trip to trip. Currently, I have the correct german voice again.
