General quality remarks

Hi, I have no idea where I should put this or if it’s usefull to anyone. This is my feed back after traveling about 5000km with abrp for about a month, from The Netherlands through Belgium, Germany, Franse, Switserland and Italy, driving a Skoda Enyaq partly with a trailer.

First off: I would have liked to test the Skoda connection in the free version, or at least have known that there is a working skoda connection if going premium. Maybe it is written somewhere, I missed it. So i only used this on the way back.

One of the main features that I miss: when driving a planned route, the app does not recalculate new charging locations when the arrival SoC is going up. If the Soc goes from 18 to 28 it’s about time to schedule a stop further away! Maybe this should not be done automatically but after suggesting and pushing ‘ok’. But now you have to stop the navigation and replan your route, which leaves you minutes without navigation while driving on the high way.

I am missing the possibility to tell I’m dring with a trailer. This affects the relation between consumption and hight differences although the over all consumption is still okay. But it also means a lower maximum speed, longer travel times and generally lower consumption.

The navigation in The Netherlands and Germany is most times very acurate. In Italy it’s not! Road blocks are often not known, havy trafic is updated much too late and very annoying: it’s often not clear which exit to take when two are close together! It is not shown what lane to choose, which city to follow or what road number to exit to. This information is available in other countries, but not in Northern Italy. In these less acurate area’s it is also not shown wich exit to take from a round about while this is shown on the map.

Even in The Netherlands I have noticed the navigation trying to go around a blocked local road crossing underneath the highway near Roosendaal. This of course was totally unnecessary since the blocked road was crossing underneath.

The UI refresh rate is very low, or the program is so heavy that my somewhat older Samsung Galaxy A52s is getting sluggish. This is a problem when two axits should be taken just after each other. This again is indicated much better in some other countries than in Italy. Apparently the amount of info in the maps is not the same for every reagion?

When not using the connection with the car, it’s really annoying how to set the current Soc. I think it would be better to have a set-up-walk through for every new gorny to plan, if the connection is not set up.

My conclusion is that the app is adding something really important for navigation with ev’s, but it is still lacking possibilities. The navigation is still not on par with for instance Google Maps, mainly due to missing information in some area’s but also due to the sluggish refreshing of the ui/map. I have stopped my subscription but will check in after a year or so. Maybe this will be improved.
