In late 2023 Tesla offered in Germany (and most likely in other countries too) to take over free supercharging from an old car if you bought a new Tesla. Some Users might have done that. In consequence they might want to configure their new Tesla to have no fees at super chargers. On the other hand as part of the deal the old car loosed its free supercharging so that there are some old Teslas out there without free supercharging although they are old enough.

Also from time to time Tesla spends 1000mi (1500km) free supercharging when an new car is bought via an affiliate link. Owners might also want this being considered when calculating route costs.
