Filter by free (no cost) chargers

Feature Requests

Good day. Love your app and use it lots. I live in northwest BC, Canada and we have a bunch of free level 3 (albeit slower 25kw and 50kw) chargers along the highways.

Any chance that you can implement a filter that will prioritize free and DC chargers for those of us that are not in a rush and would like to benefit from free charging stations?

    Hi @Marko Kessler,

    We already prioritise fast chargers by default, as our main goal is to produce the quickest route, including charging time. Because of this, and as we try to keep it to one feature per ticket, I’ve changed the title of your request.

    When it comes to free chargers, this would be nice, but at the moment we don’t have much reliable data about which chargers are payment free.

      I would put forth the thesis that 50 KW max rate would not qualify as a ‘fast’ chargers for the majority of EVs on the road today. Those chargers have legitimate use cases (e.g for scheduling around suppertime where the dinner service will take a while, or as endpoints of a destination, or as a ‘last resort’) , but for routine trip stop they would not be the preferred desired stop.

      Which brings me to a ‘nice to have’ - the ability to easily bias certain stops for longer period to accommodate meals. Perhaps with the ability to specify preferred times for eating?
