Extreme battery drain when using ABRP with OBD dongle (BMW iX3)”

Hi ABRP Support,

When using ABRP with an OBD dongle in my BMW iX3, my phone battery drains extremely fast, even while connected to a fast car charger. Today after 13 minutes/ 14km the phone battery drained so fast that I decided to travel onwards using google maps, while I had to travel 200km.

This happens on a brand-new Samsung S25, so it’s not a battery issue. As a result, the app is currently unusable for me when OBD is enabled.

Please let me know what is the fix for this, or the recommended setting to reduce the battery drain?
