EVGO and EVGO eXtend - Split

EVGO actually has TWO networks listed in their app that have different parameters.

Specifically, EVGO-owned stations are free to use for Toyota BZ4X and Subaru Solterra owners for the first year, often making it much more cost-effective to go a little out of the way for them [strongly prefer]. This is with the Toyota Charging Plan from EVGO.

However, EVGO eXtend chargers, such as the GM Energy/EVGO chargers at Pilot Flying J stations, are full price and often much more expensive than other networks ($0.76+/kwh).

I would really like it if the networks could be split so I could “strongly prefer” EVGO while “avoid”ing EVGO eXtend.

These stations have in their “station details” the following text:

“This station is part of EVgo's eXtend network. EVgo pricing, plans, and programs may not apply. Pricing is set by the partner.”

    GM provides (or did provide) EVgo (but not EVgo eXtend) charging credit with the purchase of an GM EV. We have one and have our settings configured to “strongly prefer” EVgo. However, we learned the hard way that EVgo eXtend stations do no honor the GM credits or EVgo charging plans.

    I only noticed this because I noticed that the charger availability shown in ABRP didn’t match the “facts on the ground” and so tried to use the EVgo app to see if it would accurately report availability and discovered that “[the station I was headed to was] part of EVgo's eXtend network. EVgo pricing, plans, and programs may not apply. Pricing is set by the partner.” Note the word “may” you don’t know what will really happen until you get to the station & attempt to charge. To make matters worse, the EVgo app doesn’t offer a way to filter to only display EVgo (vs. EVgo eXtend) stations, nor can their tech support folks offer any advice as to whether a station may, or may not, EVgo pricing, plans, & programs may apply.

    Please split EVgo from EVgo eXtend (and also split any other “subsidiary networks” out into separate networks).
