Equinox EV Issues

There are a few issues I’ve experienced since using ABRP with 2024 Equinox EV RS FWD.

Issue 1: In-car app (Android Automotive) pretty much loses GPS (just shows vehicle’s last known position, even if I drive off) every time you leave the car for extended periods of time. This requires me to Force Close the app every time I get in the vehicle, if I want to use it. Sometimes, not only GPS is lost, but search is unresponsive, but this is less frequent. This is specific to ABRP, since if I use Google Maps, GPS and navigation works fine. This issue either doesn’t happen or happens less frequently, if the vehicle is only sitting for around 5-10 minutes.

Issue 2: iOS app. In the app I can see Power reading (with Automotive label below it), once the ABRP is open in vehicle and I’m driving. The value seems to match what the car is reporting, however the update rate is extremely slow, but I guess that’s expected? Anyway, the issue is if I go to the “Calibrated Reference Consumption” text says “….Your vehicle only reports SOC and no power,….” That seems incorrect, since I can clearly see power in the app. Another thing that may be related here is that on the same screen I see confidence level (currently 12%) but under the bar it shows “Any speed”. Is this normal? I’ve seen other people show confidence at different speed levels.

Finally, maybe a question rather than a bug. Does the ABRP app need to be actively open in vehicle for it to calibrate reference consumption or can it do that in the background? If not, it would be nice if it could do that somehow.

Where does this happen?
AAOS / Google Built-in
ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)
Android Automotive (6.0.2) iOS (6.0.2)
