Enter charge percent prior to leaving charger

First, it is important to know that my car does not provide access to a display showing its percent of charge: it will only tell you the miles of range left on the battery. ABRP works in percent while my car works in miles. I understand why ABRP uses percent. This means I need ABRP to do a good job predicting when my charge level will be too low. Therefore, I need ABRP to accurately reflect my car's (not displayed) percent of charge. To keep this calibrated the best approach is to enter the percent shown on the charger when I unplug my car.

ABRP has a way to set the charge percent but that method, for some inexplicable reason, is not active until the car has pulled out of the charger station and is on its way to the next charger. At that point I am driving and should not by trying to slide the percent charger on my phone.

Why won't it allow me to enter the percent before I start driving? Perhaps that is because it doesn't know, for sure, that I have unplugged the charger. if so, then how about adding a button that says "Enter final charge percent" or similar?
