"Enode not connected"

iOS 18.0.1 and ABRP Version 5.0.10
The car is a BMW i3 94
The link is OBDLink MX+ 16335
The OBD links to the iPhone which is a 15 Pro Max. Bimmerlink works faultlessly. Enode installed when linking ABRP to the car but repeatedly doesn't connect. Before starting a journey I can spend 10 minutes trying unsuccessfully to connect. I have disconnected and reconnected. I have just returned from a longish journey when it refused to connect and I'm sitting inside typing this and ABRP now reports it is connected despite the fact that the car is stopped and off though not locked. What is 'Enode' there seem to be Gym Apps on the phone also under that banner.
