It does not always follow night and day periods correctly (Phone: Xiaomi 14, Car: BYD Seal U). For example, it sometimes runs with daytime running lights at night, and during the day, if there is a little cloud cover or shade under a bridge, it switches to night mode

It does not follow current road closures correctly, or if the motorway ramp is closed. For example, in Slovenia, the A1 highway ramp has been closed for 1.5 months, and it wanted to take us there. Since the road is one-way there, we were forced to take a huge detour because it took us in the opposite direction, where there was a huge traffic jam (this resulted in +40 minutes of travel time).

If I switch to another program on my phone (e.g., Waze) in another window, it closes everything and forgets everything. In this case, I have to constantly recalculate the route. This is very annoying. Or if I switch to Android Auto (to get better traffic data, e.g., with Waze, but I don't want to turn off gas station access on ABRP), I can listen to the instructions from both apps at the same time. Often, they contradict each other. There should be an off button for the voice, with only a voice alerting me when we reach the gas station.

    Hi

    Regarding the day/night mode it’s probably a sensor in your car that changes the mode. Then you need to select day or night in the settings in ABRP before you drive and don’t have the automatic setting.

    Can you please point out where the closed ramp in Slovenia are that we show as open so we can look at it?

      Dear Linda, Due to renovations, the A1 motorway in Slovenia is/will be closed for three months between June and September, 2025. Traffic coming from Maribor will be diverted to the opposite lane, and only two lanes will be open, causing huge traffic jams between Slovenske Konjice and Dramlje (13 km, affecting bridges and tunnels as well). The renovation is ongoing and the closures are changing. We were traveling from Maribor to Ljubljana on August 22. At Slovenske Konjice, the ABRP took us off the road due to congestion and wanted to take us back towards Ljubljana at the town of Tepanje. This is in the middle of the interchange, which was closed for this reason. However, it was not possible to turn back from the ramp, so it took us in the opposite direction into the congested traffic, which meant we had to make a huge detour to get off and take lower-order roads through the mountains until we could get back on the highway at the town of Dremlje.
