Day Numbering on Multi Day Trips???

Recently I’ve noticed Day X appearing on multi day trip plans, but their appearance seems inconsistent and the logic of the location eludes me.

It appears against the travel time between stops, but such that Day 2 appears prior to the overnight stop that defines the end of day 1 & the start of day 2, if that makes sense???

And why is day 1 undeserving of identification?

So my request is:

1) ALL days of multi day trips be numbered

2) day numbers appear against the travel duration time of the correct day
