Crash or partial crash using Android Auto

When this happens the car position lags behind more and more on the car display. The app seem to be partially working on the phone, but I can't do much other than cancel the trip. No other function is working. I've also noticed that my driving logs have very few data points making the log kind of useless. Like it can be 5-10km between position updates.
