We have manually set the consumption to 500 Wh/km. When starting a new route, ABRP correctly takes this consumption value into account.

However, if I switch to another app while driving and then return to ABRP, the app starts calculating with the default consumption again.

Only when I restart the route does ABRP use the manually entered consumption value of 500 Wh/km again.

Where does this happen?
ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)

    Which of your cars does this apply to? Is the car connected to live data?
