Connect to the car only with USB-C cable?

Hello, I saw that I could connect my Android Smartphone to my Opel Astra Sports Tourer EV only using a USB-C cable. It enable to directly open Android auto on the screen of the car, and I can see ABRP “running” on it. Now, my question : do I really need a further OBD device (e.g. ODBLink CX) or is the USB-C cable sufficient to use ABRP without any restriction on my car?
