Incorrect SoC for 2025 Citroen e-C3 Max

Subject: Incorrect State of Charge (SOC) calculation for Citroën ë-C3 (Software 3.25.52)

Hello ABRP Team,

I found what appears to be an SOC calculation issue with my 2025 Citroën ë-C3 (44 kWh LFP).

Vehicle

  • Model: 2025 Citroën ë-C3

  • Infotainment Software: SW 3.25.52

  • OBD Adapter: Vgate iCar Pro 2S BLE

  • iPhone (latest iOS)

  • ABRP latest version

Problem

ABRP connects successfully to the vehicle and reads live data without connection errors.

However, the State of Charge (%) is incorrect, while the remaining battery energy (kWh) appears to be correct.

Example:

  • Vehicle dashboard: 85% SOC

  • Engineering/Service menu: 86.2% SOC

  • Remaining energy reported by the BMS: 33.984 kWh

  • Full usable energy reported by the BMS: 39.584 kWh

This is internally consistent:

33.984 / 39.584 = 85.85%

However, ABRP reports:

  • 62.3% SOC

  • Remaining energy: 33.64 kWh

So ABRP reads the remaining energy correctly but calculates or interprets SOC incorrectly.

Additional Information

  • Vehicle started at 100% SOC

  • After approximately 55 km of driving, the dashboard shows 85%, which is consistent with the BMS values.

  • The issue seems to affect vehicles running software version 3.25.52.

  • Other owners with newer software versions may not experience this issue.

It appears that ABRP may be using an incorrect CAN signal or battery capacity for this software version.

If needed, I can provide screenshots of:

  •  Dashboard SOC

  •  Engineering menu

  •  ABRP live data

  •  OBD logs

Thank you for looking into this issue
