charging time of the Hyundai Kona 2024+ 65kWh

The ABRP calculated charging time of the Hyundai Kona 2024+ 65 kWh is somewhat longer than I’ve experienced.

ABRP shows the following times:

13 - 80%: 44 minutes

18 - 80%: 41 minutes

What I’ve experienced:

Plugged in at 10% and charged to 80%: 36 minutes and 30 seconds.

And according to FDM Denmark Winter test: 10 - 80%: 36 minutes, so that’s pretty close to what I got :D

(Don’t think about the speed-limited stretches along the route; I limited charging to 80%, to get as close as possible to the 10 - 80% estimated times in the plan)

When you did the test where the charging time was 36 minutes and 30 seconds from 10-80%, what was the charging output of that specific charging station (300 kW, 350 kW or 400 kW)? Please send us a link to the specific charger you used.

We see that you have one in your plan but we are not sure if that is the one in your test.

Not that I think it matters too much, since the car caps out at right around 104 kW (That’s reported by the charger/cars app, so charging + battery cooling included).

But the charger where I timed the 10 to 80% charge was the following charger:
A 350 kW charger on Rastanlage Dammer Berge Ost, A1, Holdorf

  I might’ve remembered it incorrectly, with it being a test by FDM Denmark, it’s actually been tested by ‘Norwegian Automobile Federation’:

  Do you remember how much the shown charge output was shown on the screen of the charging station? The maximum DC charging is at around 101 kW which would be shown on the display.

  I’ve seen chargers show highs of between 104 and 106 kW (Slowly creeping up as the battery voltage rose a bit + cooling needs).
  I don’t remember exactly what it topped out at, when I did the charging test. Since we were waiting for food. We went from 10 to 74% before our food had been made in the Burger King 😅

  You can make your own custom vehicle of the Hyundai Kona but with your own values for the charging time. This will mean you can have a short charging time than we have put for the vehicle as we cannot give a time estimate for when we can do the change ourselves.
  You can create the custom vehicle by adding a new vehicle → scrolling to bottom to “Missing vehicle model?” → Press "Create custom vehicle” in new pop-up screen.

  Cool. If I could edit the current Hyundai Kona profile, I would already have calibrated data from OBD2 + all my past driving history 😅
  Is there a way to copy it and then edit the charging time?
  If the above isn’t possible:
  
  I could do a charging test in whatever way you guys need it done (To be usable), and that might be able to be imported into the car’s global ABRP profile?
  I could probably do a roughly 1% to 100% DC charging session 🤔

  That is possible too. How you do this is in the vehicle settings of ABRP.
  Press “Vehicle” in the Details menu and then you can add the new vehicle model (you can choose the same car and change the values). If you do it like this, then your OBD data and driving history will remain in your account.
