This would also be really nice in areas where it gets really hot in the summer.
It would be especially nice if the preference was dynamic and increased when bad/hot weather was forecast or actually happening.

This would be REALLY handy if rain/sleet/snow was expected / happening at the charger location. If the weather is nice, lack of cover isn’t as big a deal as when weather is bad.
