CarPlay: map doesn't load with iOS
Mostly the map on CarPlay doesn’t load with iOS 27 beta. You have to open the app on iPhone and force close it first and then reopen ABRP before the map shows again.
- Where does this happen?
- ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)

PinnedWe spent some more time on this and actually found something, where we could reliably reproduce the missing map and found a way, to actually show it. So this should improve the situation for most users. Sorry for the long delay, but this was a very tricky issue and indeed happened more often on iOS 27 than on other versions before. It should be better with the next ABRP release. Please let us know, if you still see it after the next update (7.1.8+).

Hi
Thanks for reporting this. I have sent this to my colleagues so they can look at it.

Hey, unfortunately, this seems to be a bug on iOS side that exists since iOS 26. Other apps / projects are affected as well:
https://github.com/firebase/firebase-ios-sdk/issues/15895
There are also reports on Google Maps and Waze where the same happens. Can you confirm, that you see the buttons and the background is just blank? Then it would be the same issue…

Hi, yes the buttons etc are visible. The map behind it is missing. This didn’t happen with iOS 26/iPhone 17, so I thought it would be iOS 27 related.

PinnedSadly we have seen this since a while, sometimes it happens more often, sometimes never. One of our colleagues couldn’t see it anymore at all with iOS 27, so for him it was the opposite of what you see. So not reproducible at all. We will try to report this to iOS, however our experience was not very good related to bug report handling on iOS. So can’t promise anything.

This is what I see. iPhone 17/iOS 27 b8/Carplay with wifi connection.
Sent BR to Apple too.

No map CarPlay IOs
Whenever I start CarPlay and try to begin a trip, the app gets stuck in the state shown in the images.
I have to force-close the app at least 3 or 4 times before it works.
This is a recent issue; it never used to happen before
