CarPlay display -poor layout

ABRP CarPlay display:
1) Is there anyway you set the direction of travel pointing up the screen, having direction of travel based on the compass points is not helpful.
2) can the cursor representing the vehicle remain centred as at the moment it spends most of the time under the overly large box showing the battery state of charge.

I have subscribed for two one weeks holidays in the UK, but based on my experiences the screen presentation for routing on phone and CarPlay makes the app all but unusable.
