Here’s a screenshot. I have two cars in the account, a Tesla names Serena and a Kia named EV6. Currently set to the Kia as you see at the top, display shows Serena.

It may seem a little backwards, but the map car name is only shown for the non-selected vehicle(s). It makes sense when you have several vehicles shared with you so that you can see what the other car markers on the map are; your own marker does not have a name.
