I am writing to express my serious concern and disappointment regarding the current support status of my vehicle within ABRP.
My vehicle is a 2026 Toyota bZ XLE AWD (Canadian model) equipped with a 74.7 kWh battery pack. However, the only matching vehicle currently available in the ABRP vehicle list is incorrectly listed with a 69 kWh battery capacity. This inaccurate information directly affects route calculations, charging estimates, battery predictions, and overall trip reliability.
In addition to the incorrect vehicle specifications, I am also unable to access or use the OBD live data connection option for my vehicle. While Enode connectivity is available, the live data provided through Enode has been highly unreliable due to delayed synchronization, outdated battery information, and inconsistent connection performance. For real-world EV trip planning, especially during long-distance driving and stressful charging situations, this level of inaccuracy creates significant anxiety and reduces confidence in the platform.
One of the primary reasons I subscribed to ABRP Premium was for dependable real-time OBD integration and accurate EV telemetry. Unfortunately, at the moment, I am unable to benefit from those features despite paying for the service. Without stable and supported OBD functionality, the app becomes extremely difficult to rely on for critical route planning decisions.
I would sincerely appreciate clarification regarding the following:
- Are there any plans to add the proper Canadian 2026 Toyota bZ XLE AWD model with the correct 74.7 kWh battery specifications?
- Is your team currently working on enabling or restoring OBD live data support for this vehicle?
- Is there an estimated timeline for these fixes or compatibility updates?
I truly want to continue using and supporting ABRP, as it has great potential and is widely respected in the EV community. However, the current situation has become very frustrating and stressful from a usability standpoint. If reliable OBD connectivity and proper vehicle support cannot be provided in the near future, I may unfortunately be forced to reconsider and cancel my Premium subscription, as the service does not currently meet the essential functionality I subscribed for.
I hope I was able to clearly explain the seriousness of my concerns, and I would greatly appreciate your attention and response.
