Cannot use split screen mode in Android Automotive

Bug Reports

When we have ABRP running on the main screen and press the button to show Now Playing on audio, ABRP disappears and is replaced by Google Maps. Seems that ABRP should shrink down

Where does this happen?
ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)

Hi, thanks for reaching out to us.
Which car are you seeing this on? Does it make a difference if you start navigating on ABRP?

Sadly OEMs can choose the default navigation shown but it should stick to ABRP when it is navigating. Maybe you can share a screen recording so we can get a better idea on what is going on?

    Thank you!
