Calibrated Reference Consumption Wildly Inaccurate

I recently took a trip from Phoenix to Tucson in my 2018 Ford Focus Electric using ABRP. Despite being connected to an OBD2 dongle, ABRP was reporting a reference consumption over 30% higher than what the car was reporting. I know the car was correct because ABRP was convinced I could not make the whole trip without stopping to charge, but I did.

I watched the app more closely on the way back. For most of the drive, I was drafting a large semi truck, so my reference consumption should have decreased. Indeed, ABRPs predicted arrival SoC continually increased. However, reference consumption actually increased slightly.

Whatever calibration the “calibrated” reference consumption does, it is hopelessly inaccurate.

This has rendered ABRP almost useless as it now tells me most road trips are impossible even though I know for a fact that they are not. It is also incredibly frustrating that paying extra for OBD2 connectivity has actually made the app worse.

It’s doubly frustrating because this app is so close to being the best EV road trip planner ever. I want to help it get there, so if there's any more information needed to fix this catastrophic bug, please let me know; I am happy to help gather it.
