Calculation way off with manual consumtion

When using the automatic consumption, ABRPs route summary shoes this consumption. When setting the consumption manually, the route summary shows almost twice the consumption and the legs are unreasonably short.

It wroks as expected on Android (6.2.0 5704)

    I assume that’s like a Polestar 4?

    The value ABRP uses, the so-called “reference consumption” is not the Wh/km your car usually shows you, or the number around the web.

    The “reference consumption” is, as far as I understand, a reference number of what would your consumption be at 110km/h on flat ground. But in practice it’s kind of meaningless. It’s just a measurement/calibration ABRP uses in it’s algorithm.

    That’s why you see that if you set the reference consumption to 275, the average Wh/km on the plan - which is the measurement you usually see on the car - is absurdly large.

    I tried a Polestar 4 plan just to test, and their default reference consumption is 211Wh/km

    Which, if I make a plan, turns into an actual consumption of 262Wh/km

    In summary:

    • Reference consumption is not the average consumption. Trust ABRP’s automatic calibration from live data if you have it enabled.

    • It’s normal, and expected, to see those values as different in plans. Being equal is more of a coincidence than anything.
