BYD Dolphin Surf 2026 Comfort (43.2 kWh) – OBDLink CX connects but all custom PIDs return NODATA

Description:

Hello,

I would like to report a possible OBD profile issue for the BYD Dolphin Surf 2026 Comfort (43.2 kWh).

Environment

  • Vehicle: BYD Dolphin Surf 2026 Comfort (43.2 kWh)

  • ABRP: v7.1.4 (5924)

  • iPhone (latest iOS)

  • OBD adapter: OBDLink CX

Issue

ABRP successfully connects to the OBDLink CX via Bluetooth BLE.

  • Vehicle configuration loads successfully.

  • BLE connection is successful.

  • OBD initialization commands succeed.

However, live vehicle data cannot be read.

The built-in PID tester reports:

  • PID 220008 → NODATA

  • PID 220009 → NODATA

  • PID 220032 → NODATA

The log repeatedly shows:

Raw OBD response: NODATA failed to parse response got response null

Because of this, ABRP reports "OBD connection failed" and live data is unavailable.

Additional testing

To verify the adapter, I tested the same OBDLink CX using Car Scanner.

Results:

  • ELM connection: Connected

  • ECU connection: Connected

  • VIN successfully detected

  • Connection profile: BYD Seagull EV / Dolphin Mini

This confirms that:

  • the OBDLink CX works correctly,

  • Bluetooth communication is working,

  • the vehicle responds through the OBD port.

This suggests that the current ABRP OBD profile for the BYD Dolphin Surf 2026 may not match the vehicle's BMS PIDs.

Could you please verify whether the OBD profile for this model is up to date?

I am happy to provide additional logs or help with testing if needed.

Thank you!
