Blank Screen on Android Auto

When I start ABRP on Android Auto I get a blank (black) car display window. I can start it on my phone, and it works fine on the car until I move to another AA app and then change back, whereupon the screen is blank again and navigation stops. I originally presumed it was because I did not have the premium version so have now subscribed but it has not helped..
Car is a (new) MG4 XPower with R46 software
Phone is Xiaomi 12 with HyperOS V1.0.3.0 (Android 14)
Android Auto is V11.4.640814
ABRP is V4.7.7
