Bizarre route to mammoth from Newport beach

Let me start by saying that I drive this route every other weekend in the winter. WHY is it routing me around olancha, instead of staying on the 395? I know for a fact the route is open. I have, literally, planned this route hundreds of times. It has gotten bizarrely buggy. Sometimes it routes me through barstowe, which makes no sense. Also, the planner used to say how much time was due to traffic, not anymore. I have been using airport for 4 years, recently something has changed. It has become almost useless.
