App stuck on splash screen on OnePlus phone

Since a couple of updates ago, the app now gets stuck on a black background with the ABRP logo (splash screen) and does not load further.

I have tried rebooting phone, clearing cache, clearing data, and uninstall/reinstalling with no change (clearing data/uninstalling includes removing permissions and it did re-ask for location permission, so it is doing something at least)

I have a OnePlus 12r, with de-googled LineageOS version of Android version 14. I have seen similar behaviour in the past when apps tried to rely on gapps services without properly checking if available first, but cannot confirm that is the case here.

    Hi @Scott,

What version of the app are you currently using?

I have version 6.0.1 and this has happened for a couple of recent versions.

Version 6.0.2 should work, you can try it out by Installing the ABRP Beta version

Since I use the Aurora Store app to access the google play store, I am unable to request beta access (I do not have any google services on my phone, including no gmail account)

I guess I have to wait for 6.0.2 to become public and hope that works.

My bad, yes then you’ll have to wait for the update but we should have it released soon.
