App often says there is a better route when there isn’t

The little green panel comes up which says “there is a better route” and has a “view alternatives” button. When I press that button, I get shown four options, all of which are twenty to forty minutes slower than my current route. Maybe the “better route” initial calculation is including chargers which my car can’t use?
