I just decided to try out Premium with a Pixel 9 Pro Fold and a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 (Korean made) with the ultimate package (including a HUD).
This all looks very promising, but the Android Auto interface is seriously lacking on features/options. But more problematic are the numerous bugs. Is this ready for prime time? I feel like I paid for a product that isn’t ready for launch.
Some of the bugs and issues include (all on the AA interface):
Adding a second destination waypoint, I’d search and the whole interface just freezes. No way to get out of it. I had to kill the app on the phone multiple times.
Turn by turn directions in AA would work, but half the time they didn’t show up in the HUD. No idea why it was random. Google Maps never has this problem.
Where are all the menus to see things like SoC at my SECOND waypoint destination? It only shows the current destination, it should show both the current and final destination SoC. Or at least have an option to touch the SoC icon and it would show the other legs of your trip.
Along with the SoC, what about other trip details for the other legs? Distances would be nice.
The AA interface went black multiple times trying to access menus or features. Then again, it wouldn’t return. I kept having to kill the app and restart.
I’m just not thrilled having paid money for this if it isn’t ready. Glad I only paid for a month.
With that being said, The app shows lots of promise! Having the SoC read automatically is amazing!
