Android Auto not updated by phone

Hello. I use android Auto when driving and when I try to update the current SOC the phone app updates the status but AA continues with the old value. Not sure it is related but on the AA screen, next to the current SOC value, there is a red "no signal" type icon. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help. Alex
