Android App won't start without GPS signal

for some time now I notice that Android app won’t start up if I’m in a location without GPS signal. This is especially annoying as I got my office in the basement, and whenever I want to plan for a trip on my phone, I cannot use the app. It will only show the ABRP logo and stall until I get into a location where GPS signal is available.

Earlier versions (lets say maybe 6+ months ago, could also be one year already) did not show this behavior but instead just started with the last known location.

Could you please investigate and possibly restore the old, way more convenient behavior?
