Adding a way point works but destination is now reporting the added waypoint address

When you add a way point to your existing route, the waypoint gets added OK but the destination is changed to the address of the waypoint you added although the destination on the map is still the correct destination, just the displayed destination address shows the waypoint you added. If you clear your route and redo it with the waypoint still there, the destination address finally shows correctly. Definitely a bug.
